Throughout the song, John Lennon talks about the possibilities of the world, in his imagination. He interacts with the listeners by asking them to imagine, the "what-ifs" of life, to create peace throughout the world. In this verse, John Lennon says "no possessions", which he refer to as objects we hold dearly to. He asks a critical question, "Can we let go of those possessions?", like our phones and devices. He also includes that if we do "let go", then there would be no greed and world hunger will end.

Throughout the song, Min Yoongi, a.k.a. Agust D., talks about his struggles before success. He talks about depression, OCD, and the stress he, and others (may) have. He refers to the problem as a monster, and emphasizes on what it does to others and himself. By this song, he encourages fans all over the world that it’s okay to not be okay, and reminds them that regardless of our differences, we’re all still human.
